AssignInertiaTo

AssignInertiaTo[linkage, link, imx]
Sets the Moment of Inertia tensor (imx) of link and resets the resulted LinkageData to linkage. The inertia matrix is defined w.r.t. the Center of Mass marker of the link.
  • The Moment of Inertia tensor is 3x3 symetric matrix, where the diagonal elements contains the so called principal moments of inertia while the off- diagonal defines the product of inertias.
  • The marker of refereces of the tensor is the Local Link Reference Marker of the link.
  • The unit of the Moment of Inertia tensor is defined in the $LDMechanismID record of the linkage.
